What an amazing release this is! Even after 27 years, Waylon Jennings' voice still resonates with us. Shooter has done a fantastic job completing these tracks. I'm thrilled to have more of Waylon's music, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next two!
This album isn't terrible. It's alright, but that deep voice is nice to listen to.
Receiving a fresh Waylon album in 2025 is like an unexpected present from the Jennings family. But getting a brand-new album from this particular phase of Waylon's career? That's even more extraordinary. Every aspect of this project exudes a sense of respect and affection for Waylon's enduring legacy. The tracks on this album are absolutely brilliant. The sound quality is top-notch, and my copy, at least, is completely noise-free. It's packaged in a stunning tip-on jacket, complete with a nicely printed inner sleeve and a small OBI strip. I'm eagerly anticipating whatever comes next from these and other unearthed recordings from Waylon's home studio sessions.
