About Alan Pasqua

Alan Pasqua is a versatile and virtuosic American pianist who seamlessly blends the worlds of rock and jazz. Born in New Jersey in 1952, Pasqua honed his craft at Indiana University and the New England Conservatory of Music, laying the foundation for a career that spans decades and genres. His impressive resume includes collaborations with legendary artists such as Bob Dylan, Santana, Cher, and Michael Bublé, showcasing his adaptability and musical prowess. Pasqua's work as a session musician and songwriter has left an indelible mark on the music industry, from co-composing the iconic CBS Evening News theme to his role as a founding member of the 1980s hard rock band Giant. His album "Standards" with drummer Peter Erskine earned a Grammy nomination in 2008, further cementing his status as a jazz virtuoso. Beyond his performing career, Pasqua is also a respected educator, serving as a Professor of Jazz Studies at the USC Thornton School of Music. Whether he's playing sophisticated post-bop jazz or rocking out with a band, Alan Pasqua's incredible touch and technique make him a standout performer in any setting.
