Yello has created a truly fascinatin album that's a joy to listen to.
I've got a couple of these original USA pressings. One of them has a hype sticker on the shrink wrap and the vinyl is that audiophile quiex stuff, which is see-through and maroon when you hold it up to the light. The other one is still in the shrink wrap but without any hype sticker, and it's on solid black vinyl. I'm thinking about picking up another listing for the translucent pressing.
Extremely let down. Despite the 12” having the artwork for the original 'I.T. Splash / Glue Head' 12”, it doesn’t actually include the original mix of 'Glue Head'. Instead, it’s got that less engaging 'Bluehead' version that was on the 7” of 'She’s Got A Gun'. Heads up, I shelled out for the whole expensive set thinking I’d get the original, rare, and superior version, but it’s not there.

In late 1980, I spotted this album in the NME and ordered an import copy by post. Before long, it was on heavy rotation for me. More than that, all my mates got their own copies, and it became the soundtrack to our lives for a time. I've seen some so-called 'mint' copies going for over £100 (one even reached £155). I'm not convinced these US pressings could ever be called 'mint'.
