  • Clooney's Heartfelt Jazz Brilliance

    4 out of 5 stars
    yeguHK_July 20, 2025United States🇺🇸

Rosemary Clooney truly shines when she sings about loss and heartbreak. On this album, she takes on some of the most beloved vocal classics, backed by the incredible Ed Bickert on guitar and the rest of the band. Ed's accompanying playing is alone worth the cost of the ticket, especially if you're a jazz guitar student like me. His performance is simply outstanding. The entire band, likely put together by Concord, plays in perfect harmony and the recording quality is superb. Being from '85, there's a touch of extra reverb in the final mix, typical of the time. The pressing is clean with no noticeable flaws. 4 stars.
