Awesome album, super tight playing, fast-paced beats, and a background female choir that you can't help but want to learn more about.
The song titled "One" is absent from this version, unlike the original Dutch album which had 15 tracks. The sequence of the songs has been altered, and the opening lines of "Saturday Night" have been "edited" as well. Apart from a new mix, some instrument parts were re-recorded by American musicians, I believe, it'd be great to know who they are. Going big in the USA turned into a letdown at the Border Line in NY, with all the music critics present, when Herman couldn't keep up the pace. The dope they'd stashed in their amplifiers during their flight was to blame. As I write this, Herman would have been 75. But the rock & roll lifestyle took its toll, and his suicide was somewhat "hinted" at in various lyrics.
