Product description

Stone Temple Pilots return with "Shangri-LA DEE DA," a powerful and diverse collection of tracks that blend the raw energy of grunge with the melodic hooks of alternative rock. Released on January 1, 2001, under Atlantic Records, this album is a testament to the band's enduring influence in the rock genre. With a runtime of 47 minutes, the album offers a compelling journey through 12 tracks that showcase the band's signature sound and lyrical depth.

From the opening track "Dumb Love" to the introspective closer "Long Way Home," Stone Temple Pilots deliver a mix of hard-hitting riffs and soulful melodies. Standout tracks like "Hollywood Bitch" and "Bi-Polar Bear" highlight the band's ability to craft memorable, anthemic rock songs, while tracks like "A Song for Sleeping" and "Transmissions from a Lonely Room" offer a more introspective and atmospheric experience. The album's post-grunge and alternative rock influences are evident throughout, making it a must-listen for fans of the genre and a strong addition to any rock music collection.

This 2024 Limited Edition Reissue LP is pressed on Orange vinyl.

An excellent album by them, with a fantastic reissue.

  • MOV's Solid, Underrated Gem

    4 out of 5 stars
    RaxwjfiiziOctober 3, 2025United States🇺🇸

Pressing - 5/5 This is pure MOV, top-notch, flat, heavyweight vinyl that's been pressed to perfection. I've always found their quality control to be excellent, and this record is no different. Mastering - 3.5/5 You've got to crank this one up loud with a solid subwoofer to really appreciate it. The lows and mids are spot on. However, the highs can feel a bit washed out. The guitar and bass are awesome, but the vocals can get a tad muddy, and the drums tend to blend into the background. Tracks like Hollywood Bitch and Wonderful, which are more vocal and drum-driven, lack some punch and can feel a bit flat. Still, it sounds pretty decent overall. Plus, like others have noted, my copy cuts off the last second of Coma, which is odd and cost it half a point. Packaging - 4/5 It's not anything extraordinary, but it's not bad either, what you see is what you get. Overall - 4/5 It's a great listen when you turn it up, and this album is seriously underrated. The DeLeo brothers really shine here, with fantastic guitar and bass work. But, in my opinion, the Tiny Music and No. 4 MOV releases are even better.

  • Album Ends Abruptly

    1 out of 5 stars
    baderawhiSeptember 9, 2025United States🇺🇸

Cut off at the very end of Coma. Unacceptable. Awesome album, audio quality's decent, but this really messes up the vibe.

  • Amazing Album Reissue

    MadewAugust 25, 2025United States🇺🇸

An amazing album from them, and the reissue is really good too.

  • Massive & Trippy Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    IswGupqrAugust 10, 2025United States🇺🇸

This album is massive & packs a punch, blasting out of the speakers, but when it needs to get trippy, it's faithful & holographic too. Best enjoyed LOUD
