Throughout his career, he recorded for various labels, including Regent, Brunswick, Capitol, Argo, and Bethlehem, showcasing his versatility across genres like jazz, soul jazz, and swing. His discography, featuring albums like "Please, Mr. Organ Player!" and "Mulholland Dr.," is a testament to his enduring influence and musical prowess. Buckner passed away on July 27, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, but his legacy continues to inspire musicians and enthusiasts alike.
