The album is absolutely fantastic. Side A is brilliant, but side B, as many have noted, has quite a bit of surface noise, especially on the opening track. It improves a bit after that, but there are still some pops and cracks here and there. By the third track on side B, it's much cleaner.
My version is awful, sounds so weak and makes lots of noise. I love this album, so this is really disappointing. I suppose it'll just sit on the shelf while I stream a high-res copy instead.
I picked up two copies of this album – one for listening and one to preserve – but unfortunately, both have quite a bit of hiss and crackle on the B side, even after giving them a good clean. It's a real bummer, as the music itself is amazing.
This is an awesome sounding piece! I'd definitely suggest grabbing one for yourself.
It's tough to picture this not being featured on any top 2025 lists.
