The B side messes up on a couple of tracks during the bassy sections, and it's disappointing when I try to play it
In April 2021, Salv shared a hint on their IG story about a possible re-release or second version of this figure. If the current three-figure resale price is a bit steep for your budget, it might pay off to hold out a while longer!
really let down, terrible pressing. the needle keeps jumping all over the place, the tone arm's all shaky, and the grooves are all messed up on tracks like 'salv goes to hollywood'
Side A's fine, but Side B's all over the place, jumping straight from 'salv' to 'hollywood'. I was really looking forward to the repress, so this (plus the endless delays) was pretty letdown.
I have to say, my copy is quite different from the one shown in the ad, which was a bit of a letdown initially. But after playing it and letting it settle, I've grown to really enjoy it. The issue is, there's so much black splatter on mine that it almost completely covers the red, making it look more like a color-in-color version. Aside from that little gripe about the pressing's appearance, it's a good sounding record. It sounds fantastic, but mine was a bit dirty when it arrived, so I had to give it a good cleaning first.
