The sound quality of this pressing is fantastic, featuring flat discs and no surface noise at all.
This is an amazing pressing. It might just be the best sounding out of the six El-P records I own. The discs are perfectly flat and the colors turned out fantastic, just like the pictures online. The packaging is top-notch too. It's a shame it doesn't include the Gangsta Boo vocals, though. I sort of wish they'd put them on one of the discs, but then again, El-P's raw, powerful style probably benefits from the extra space to shine.
These are super quiet, thin discs, just top-notch sound from beginning to end. The sleeve might've benefited from being a tad bigger, it's a real squeeze getting the discs in and out and I've noticed a bit of splitting at the top of the sleeve since the discs are so jammed in. But it's not a huge issue 'cause the sound is brilliant start to finish.
The marbling on my copy is quite nice, but the color is much more green than what's shown in the online pictures, perhaps those aren't images of the reissue. The bass and overall sound are fantastic.
5/5. totally misleading ads, but it's not a total waste. the press is awesome, the packaging is sweet, and the wax sounds pretty awesome, except for the odd pop.. but that's pretty much unavoidable. def reco.
