Grab this one. It’s super budget-friendly and you can find it right here on Discogs, plus it’s a fantastic collection of awesome jazz tunes by some truly incredible jazz artists. The sound quality is top-notch too.
Minor cracks in a few spots, barely any background noise, so overall a fantastic sounding record. Highly recommendable.
I ain't got this particular version, but I do have a promo with a shiny gold stamp that says "FOR PROMOTION ONLY Ownership Reserved By CBS Sale is Unlawful" which I don't spot on discogs. Maybe it's the first pressing? Leaving that aside, if this album had dropped 30 years earlier, Columbia would've definitely pressed it as a 6-eye black/red label Columbia Stereo Hi-Fidelity release. The holographic soundstage, the wide separation, the nuanced decay of each instrument, the space, its presence, it's all incredibly captured. I'd gladly pay way more for this. Go ahead and grab it.
