Did I just imagine it or was that Yabby You singing backup on They Never Love Poor Marcus?
Is it just me or is that actually Yabby You singing backup on They Never Love Poor Marcus?
I reckon there should be a later second pressing of this vinyl, similar to The Gladiators' Trenchtown Mix Up, but without that white label edge. I've just found a copy, and guess what? There's an export sticker on the back of the sleeve, hiding the cat number.
This is fantastic. Just as the title hints, it's all about Rasta themes, and I'd call this a must-have for Reggae fans. Sure, many of the top tracks are covers, but who wouldn't want Johnny Clarke to take on these songs? The production's top-notch, and the Aggrovators are at their finest here. What's there not to love?
This is fantastic! Just as the title hints, it's all about Rasta vibes, and I'd say it's a must-have for any Reggae fan. Sure, most of the standout tracks are covers, but who better to redo them than Johnny Clarke? The production is top-notch, the Aggrovators are at their finest, what more could you ask for?
