This is absolutely amazing. It kicks off strong with the Mozart & Gershwin and maintains that high standard across three fantastic-sounding discs. The “Chick Talks” interludes adds some of Chick’s charm to the experience, making it feel like a genuine live concert at home. Pressed beautifully at QRP. There's so much to appreciate here.
Absolutely delightful. I've got the triple vinyl set, and these are the sole 21st century pressings that match the excellence of my pre-digital records. The sound is incredibly clear and transparent, with a wonderfully realistic piano soundstage. I was concerned the 'Chick Talks' bits might be irritating, but they're not at all, mainly because they're brief and charming. The duets are my personal favorites.
Wow, what an amazing album. It's hard to believe how fantastic the production quality is on this recording. The music sounds so crisp and is recorded so well. The songs are fantastic, but Chick's performance is even more impressive. I really enjoy how he engages with the audience.
