Coś nietypowego w dyskografii War. Album wydany przez jazzową wytwórnię Blue Note, co samo w sobie jest niezwykłe. Brzmi bardziej instrumentalnie, z dłuższymi kompozycjami, gdzie funk i jazz łączy się swobodnie. Można usłyszeć luz sesji jam, ale też ambicję, by pokazać, że War to nie tylko przeboje radiowe, lecz zespół zdolny do improwizacji i tworzenia dłuższych form. Czasami medytacyjne, czasami pełne energii.
You can snag this one for a bargain, and it's a fantastic set of stretched-out funk/jazz/soul tracks, light on the words, heavy on the grooves. The vinyl's in great shape too, with plenty of bass, and a rich, inviting sound that carries through each track. My copy spins clear and smooth, with just a hint of faint surface noise here and there.
This Japanese double LP is absolutely fantastic. It's not widely known among many people. I'd definitely recommend it.
