Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
Seriously, $14 for a basic CD is nuts. I'm a Nicki fan, but that's just insane. You'd save more money streaming. And what's the deal with half the songs missing?
She never should've sent something so incomplete to production—especially this incomplete. It's honestly deceiving the fans/listeners since it's barely half of what was digitally released. She was finalizing songs in the last few weeks before it came out. They should've either stopped vinyl production or done it after the release. It's also super shady that the tracklist was kept secret until the album dropped, likely because she was still finishing it and knew it wouldn't match the physical version. It's a messy release, it's a real shame, and I'd say it's unprofessional. I honestly don't see there being another release with the full tracklist, maybe in a year but I think physical copies are gonna be on shelves for a while. But to anyone who thought this was gonna be a 2LP, that was just an easy mistake. It was always advertised as 1 LP. Another reason why I knew it couldn't have been a big album (physically) leading up to its release.
I honestly can't wrap my head around this release. It's a real shame she even put this album out, just for a quick cash grab. This one seriously let me down. Because the whole album...all 20-something tracks... absolute FLAMES!!! So why bother with this vinyl nonsense???!!
Talk about a total rip-off. 10 out of 22 songs. Nicki has truly hit rock bottom with this one.
Nicki Minaj is absolutely one of my all-time favorite musicians, and I know that might sound strange coming from someone like me. She's always seemed like the underdog to me, and I've always rooted for the underdogs. I'll admit, there have been times when my opinion about her was colored by my personal bias. I gotta be real here, though—I've never seen an artist just throw caution to the wind and only put half the album on physical copies. I suspect the label is to blame, but it's still pretty bizarre. At least they took off the Drake track, praise the lord.
