Product description

Turnover's "Peripheral Vision" is a captivating journey through the realms of midwest emo, dream pop, and pop punk, released on May 4, 2015, under Run For Cover Records. This sophomore album from the American rock band is a collection of anthems that resonate with outsiders, offering a blend of raw emotion and atmospheric soundscapes. Produced by Will Yip, the album spans 39 minutes and features 11 tracks, each contributing to the overall narrative of introspection and catharsis.

From the opening track "Cutting My Fingers Off" to the introspective closer "Intrapersonal," Turnover crafts a sonic experience that is both intimate and expansive. Songs like "Hello Euphoria" and "Dizzy On the Comedown" showcase the band's knack for blending dreamy, ethereal melodies with punchy, emotive lyrics. The album's dream pop influences add a layer of depth, making "Peripheral Vision" a standout in Turnover's discography. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to their music, this album is a testament to Turnover's ability to create music that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

This is a 2025 10th Anniversary Edition - Coke Bottle Glitter (Turnover webstore exclusive) released as a LP.

Ignoring the past reviews, I must say, I struck gold with this one. My records are in tip-top shape after a thorough cleaning. The original album sounds absolutely fantastic, even better than my old pink pressing. The bonus tracks and alternate versions are incredible, and having the instrumentals is such a cool addition. The colors are vibrant, and the book is beautifully made. This was a fantastic gift to myself. One of my all-time favorite albums. Cheers!

Absolutely no problems, the sound quality on my at33sa with tube box ds2 phono is genuinely astonishing, it's rich, impactful and crisp

  • Mixed Feelings on Vibrant Box Set

    3 out of 5 stars

Got my pre-ordered copy in the mail today. Like many box sets, the packaging and presentation are always a joy, and this release is no exception. I would've preferred more readable lettering on the inner sleeves, but all the materials for the sleeves and box feel quite durable. The LPs are stunning, with vibrant colors that look incredible over a white slip mat, particularly disc 3 with its orange, yellow, and slightly green base. However, the reviewer below me is spot on about the discs (especially disc 1) having many VERY noticeable pops even after a thorough cleaning. Some speck of something was also stuck in the grooves, causing it to skip, but I was lucky enough to force it out. The sound is rich and full when it's not interrupted by pops. All but one of the inner sleeves have a slight tear on the side, presumably from when they were separated. Personally, I think they messed up the alternate mixes and performance on disc 3, but that might just be a personal issue for me to sort out later. I do think the bonus tracks are a nice addition and sound great. (Though I think they did "Humming" and "Take My Head" enough justice) Side F being blank is a bit disappointing to me as well. I get it's colored and I'm not the biggest fan of etchings in the first place, but couldn't they have done something? Couldn't it have been cut at 45rpm and made use of both sides? The white strip to hold everything in the box is slightly larger than the box itself, so it just kinda falls out. Still holds everything together, but the second I take it off the shelf, it's just gonna kinda fall out. I'm trying very hard to find positives in this set because I have such a personal connection to this record. The booklet is wonderful and expansive, and the poster is beautiful as well. All the artwork is very lovely. There's nothing so terribly wrong with this set that will stop me from taking it out every once in a while, but maybe that's just my personal attachment talking again. I'm probably going to revisit the instrumental disc the most, but I'll probably stick to my original copy if I just want to listen to the album.
