Product description

Sam Fender's third studio album, 'People Watching', is a poignant and heartfelt exploration of modern British life. Released on 21 February 2025 via Polydor Records, this 48-minute masterpiece is a testament to Fender's exceptional storytelling ability. Co-produced by Fender himself, alongside Adam Granduciel and Markus Dravs, 'People Watching' is a beautifully crafted collection of songs that delve into the human condition.

The album's title track, 'People Watching', sets the tone for a journey that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. With songs like 'Nostalgia's Lie', 'Chin Up', and 'Crumbling Empire', Fender showcases his unique ability to balance social commentary with sentimental reflection. The tracklist, which also includes 'Wild Long Lie', 'Arm's Length', 'Little Bit Closer', 'Rein Me In', 'TV Dinner', 'Something Heavy', and 'Remember My Name', is a masterclass in storytelling, with each song offering a unique perspective on the world around us.

Throughout the album, Fender's empathetic eye casts a thoughtful gaze on the everyday characters that inhabit our lives. With 'People Watching', Fender has created an album that is both a reflection of our times and a timeless collection of songs that will resonate with listeners for years to come.

This LP is pressed on Blue vinyl.

  • Masterpiece Album Quality

    5 out of 5 stars
    tiuw.yaexrsDecember 7, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

From beginning to end, this album is an absolute masterpiece, and this is the version you want. Sure, the plain black cover and absence of artwork might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the superb audio quality more than compensates. My record was super flat and had hardly any surface noise or pops, which I've noticed is becoming more frequent with new vinyl these days, so it's clear a lot of effort went into this pressing. I'd strongly suggest grabbing a copy before they sell out!

  • GZ Pressing Disappointment

    3 out of 5 stars
    DeubroufApril 12, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This pressing really let me down. Had I known it was a GZ job, I'd have given it a miss. It's full of noise and that annoying rotational static. It's heading straight to the car boot sale. Only giving it 3 stars 'cause I do like the tunes πŸ‘

  • Fantastic Album, Stunning Packaging

    5 out of 5 stars
    Obuzuxa96March 19, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Absolutely fantastic album and it sounds amazing! I grabbed this edition from the Universal Music Store as soon as it dropped and haven't regretted it at all. The packaging is stunning too!

  • Back in Stock Cheap

    5 out of 5 stars
    XuqfewHepDA19March 12, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As of March 12th, 2025, it's back in stock on the official UK website, priced at just Β£25.99 - no reason to fork out for those inflated eBay or Discogs prices!

  • Overpriced, Overcompressed Album

    3 out of 5 stars
    jfuyuukecMarch 8, 2025United StatesπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This album sounds way too squashed. I really hoped for a better master with more range. It's overly loud and distorted in several spots. They should've made this a double album. 25 minutes per side is just too long. Unfortunately, the record's quality takes a hit because of it. A single record priced at $35? The Times They Are A-Changin'.

About Sam Fender

Sam Fender is a captivating English singer, songwriter, and musician hailing from North Shields, known for his distinctive high tenor voice and unmistakable Geordie accent. With a unique blend of traditional American musical influences and British rock sensibility, Sam Fender's sound is as compelling as his powerful lyrics. His journey in music began independently in 2017, and he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional songwriting, earning three Brit Awards.

Sam Fender's discography is a testament to his artistic growth and versatility. His debut album, "Hypersonic Missiles," released in 2019, marked his rise to fame, followed by the critically acclaimed and Mercury Prize-nominated "People Watching." Standout tracks like "Seventeen Going Under" and "Tyrants" showcase his ability to craft songs that resonate deeply with his audience. Whether performing at stadium shows or intimate venues, Sam Fender's live performances are electrifying, making him a must-see artist on any music lover's radar.
