Ray Janos did an amazing job cutting this sterling pressing. And WOW! The sound is incredibly detailed, with massive bass, a deep 3D image, and vocals that really stand out. This repress sounds absolutely beautiful. While I'd love to play an original pressing one day, this version is so good that I might never spend the money on it! [Tech specs in my profile]
I gotta agree, this thing's audio quality is fantastic. The color is amazing too...has anyone else received a second disc that's more like a purple marble? The first one's see-through just like it's supposed to be, but the second one's got this black smoke marbling effect going on. Still looks awesome though!
Audio quality is fantastic! Excellent presence and equalization. As someone mentioned earlier, it's got just the right amount of punch. I noticed a tiny bit of surface noise in certain parts (barely there), but now I reckon it's from the LPs used for the samples. I'm loving it so much. Best Christmas present ever! ;)
This is freakin' awesome, but where my stickers at? Nothin' on mine, never was. Still wrapped up tight, like always. B-boys gettin' down with the freak freak, y'all. I mean, come on now!
If you're gonna pick just one Beastie Boys record, make it this one. Jam-packed with party tracks, old-school grooves, and three MCs killing it. A true masterpiece!
