Honestly, this is up there with the worst pressings I've come across, right next to Diary by Dilla. Joining the chorus of others: surface scratches, tiny bubbles, and bits of paper from the sleeve everywhere. Plus, they said it was colored, but it's just regular black. I shared my thoughts with Newbury about it.
I stumbled upon this in a clearance section, unaware that many of these have poor sound quality. Mine, however, sounds great except for a few crackles. I must be on a lucky streak! As usual, the music is phenomenal, just what you'd expect from anything Madlib creates.
I'm really digging this album. It sounds fantastic to me, and the silk screening on the cover is pretty cool as well. But what gives with those crazy marketplace prices??? Seriously folks...
The asking prices for these are a total joke! You won't even find the original copy of The Unseen selling for a couple hundred bucks.
Mine seems alright, though it's got a few spots that aren't perfect. Not too shabby overall.
