Product description

Audioslave's "Out of Exile" is a powerful testament to the band's evolution and prowess in the rock genre. Released in 2005, this second studio album marks a significant milestone as the band's only record to top the Billboard 200 chart, showcasing their ability to captivate a wide audience. With a blend of grunge, post-grunge, and alternative metal, "Out of Exile" delivers a raw and intense listening experience that spans 53 minutes across 12 tracks.

The album kicks off with the energetic "Your Time Has Come," setting the tone for the gritty and powerful sound that follows. Standout tracks like "Be Yourself" and "Doesn't Remind Me" highlight the band's knack for crafting memorable hooks and anthemic choruses. The record was crafted in renowned studios such as Cello Studios, Akademie Mathematique Of Philosophical Sound Research, and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, ensuring a polished yet authentic sound.

"Out of Exile" is not just another rock album; it's a statement. Audioslave's unique blend of musical influences and their collective experience shine through in every song. From the heavy riffs of "Man Or Animal" to the introspective "Dandelion," the album offers a diverse range of moods and styles. The band's ability to seamlessly transition between hard-hitting tracks and more reflective moments makes "Out of Exile" a standout in their discography.

In support of the album, Audioslave released four singles, each receiving significant airplay and critical acclaim. The album's success was further cemented by the band's historic performance in Cuba, making them the first American rock group to play there. This album is a testament to Audioslave's enduring impact on the rock genre and their ability to push boundaries.

This 2025 Limited Edition Reissue 20th Anniversary Edition 2LP set is housed in a gatefold, pressed on Silver vinyl.

  • Worth the Rare Price

Among the priciest in my collection. Rare to come by...but it's worth it

  • Clearer Sound, Better Experience

    4 out of 5 stars
    tpiyef90September 12, 2025United States🇺🇸

When you put this up against the original blue version, it's a no-brainer for me. On the first one, Chris is way out front and the rest just kinda blends in. But this pressing? Everything's crisp and distinct, really elevates the whole experience.

  • Warm but unclear recording

    suos_dxocurrmnSeptember 2, 2025United States🇺🇸

Alright, but quite warm. Can't tell if it was recorded like this or it's the mastering.

  • Audio Bliss, Fantastic Listen

#1,247 here. Audio is amazing, smooth and silent. Adore this album, fantastic for listening.

  • Disappointing Bonus Tracks

it's not the worst but i'm pissed it's not better, especially with a whole damn side full of bonus songs

About Audioslave

Audioslave, the powerhouse American rock supergroup, burst onto the scene in 2001, forged from the talents of Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) and the instrumental trio from Rage Against the Machine: Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk. Hailing from Glendale, California, Audioslave swiftly carved out their own identity, blending the raw energy of 1970s hard rock with the grit of 1990s alternative rock, and infusing it all with influences from 1960s funk, soul, and R&B. Their debut album, simply titled "Audioslave," catapulted them to fame with hits like "Cochise," "Like a Stone," and "Show Me How to Live," showcasing Cornell's soaring vocals and Morello's distinctive guitar work. Over their six-year career, Audioslave released three studio albums, each a testament to their unique sound and powerful live performances. Their music, characterized by its heavy riffs and thought-provoking lyrics, continues to resonate with fans worldwide, making Audioslave a standout act in the rock genre.
