Great crisp audio, powerful low-end, and smooth vinyl. Well-done re-release.
A heads-up for those buying this CD (taken out of the release notes as it wasn't suitable): The Opendisc app is compatible with Windows and MacOS and appears as a separate drive, but since the service has been shut down, it's now pretty much useless unless you just want to play the CD— you'll keep getting error messages when attempting to register. Other software can still read the 'audio side' of the CD without any issues.
The one I have is pretty quiet and top-notch. It's a tad less lively than I'd hoped, but maybe that's just the recording, hard to say. All in all, it sounds great, glad I've got it in my collection.
This album really shows how terrible Electronic music can become when handled by someone who used to be an amazing DJ and producer, but now is just an average guy. The album is mostly about mixing different electronic sub-genres like club house with awful “electro”. When Love Takes Over is obviously a copy of “clocks” from “Coldplay”! It's the same exact melody & notes! Getting Over uses a terrible electro base that makes the track sound like garbage, and to make it even worse, this same beat is used with the black eyed peas! I know that David Guetta produced music for the black eyed peas, but it’s an insult to the listeners to reuse beats and samples from other productions instead of creating something original. The distinctive Getting over electro sound clearly shows what I refer to as electro-crap:- It sounds like some kind of joke, like a song from a bad talent clowns show for stupid kids- very out-of-sync melodic sound that seems like a baby is playing the synthesizerSexy bitch, and every single track is another example of the electro-crap and tune recyclingUnfortunately what I call electro-crap is becoming popular because several people who never listened to really good electronic music suddenly hear such crappy tunes and because of their limited knowledge about electronic music they are okay with that.David Guetta clearly lacks creativity and originality, instead of creating original notes, the musician uses the cheap trick that nowadays almost any electronic musician is using: Recycle existing tunes, playing the piano, synth or any instrument in a crazy way without rhythm and soul and the result is crap like David Guetta’s latest album. If I could give 0 as a rating I definitely would, but Discogs lower rating is 1 so I’m giving away 1 point totally for free to this guy called David Guetta
