This isn't NAV's finest hour. The standout parts for me were O.G. Ron C's outro on "Stay Up" and The Weeknd's harmony on "Unlimited". As for the singles, "Real Me" is the pick of the bunch - the video and the phone call intro give it a nostalgic nod to Metro & Nav's "Perfect Timing" tape. But "OMW2REXDALE" falls flat. The whole album revolves around NAV admitting he's got a problem with substance abuse, but the lyrics lack the creativity of early 2010s Eminem. The later tracks are filled with cringe-worthy simping, which feels outdated compared to Nav's earlier, more misogynistic work. The album's too short, and without his usual guest list, Nav's tricks don't land as well. It's all a bit hypocritical coming from a lonely rich kid. On "OMW2REXDALE", Nav lays it all bare, and it backfires because his more talented friends don't have a verse to help him shine this time around.-V.V.13th/Apr.2k25
The initial release doesn't have YOU (feat. Don Toliver) & UNLIMITED (feat. Playboi Carti), but it does include the original title track Rexdale. It's kinda lame that YOU isn't on this version 'cause the flow into STAY UP is spot on, but instead STAY UP just pops up outta nowhere and feels off without YOU.
