There are a couple of skips here and there, especially on "Wake", but it's not too bad. I'm really into this album and think this color version looks the best with the music. The disc's marbling is gorgeous!

About SYML

SYML, the solo project of Seattle-based musician Brian Fennell, weaves intricate melodies and poignant lyrics into a tapestry of emotive indie rock. Born in Issaquah, Washington, Fennell's journey into music began at a young age, honing his skills on the piano and eventually earning a music degree. Prior to SYML, he was part of the indie band Barcelona, but it was his solo venture that truly allowed his unique voice to shine.

Fennell's music is deeply personal, often drawing from his own experiences and emotions. His debut album, released in 2019, showcased his ability to craft songs that resonate with listeners on a profound level. With a catalog that includes hits like "Where's My Love," which gained viral popularity after being featured in the TV drama "Teen Wolf," SYML has proven his ability to create music that captivates and inspires.

His latest album, "Nobody Lives Here," released in April 2025, is a testament to his growth as an artist. The album delves into themes of change, grief, and the unknown, offering a raw and honest look into Fennell's psyche. Each track is a journey through his personal experiences, making it a deeply intimate listen. With his soulful vocals and masterful piano playing, SYML continues to carve out a unique space in the indie rock landscape, inviting listeners to connect with his music on a deeply personal level.
