  Mám k tomuto vydání smíšené pocity. Jedná se o neoficiální verzi, a já hlupák jsem si ji omylem pořídil, myslíc, že je to první vydání na jedné desce z roku 2001. Obal je trochu nízké kvality, trochu pixelovaný. Samotná deska vypadá pěkně. Ale jaká je kvalita zvuku? To je opravdu velká otázka. První strana trpí hlasitějším praskáním u první písně "Mein herz brennt", ale pak se to uklidní. Druhá strana má praskot od začátku, který je místy rušivý, a není to ten typ praskotu, který by patřil k retro zážitku. Co mě šokuje, je, že doslova každá píseň na této desce má jinou kvalitu. Vždy první čtyři písně na obou stranách mají úžasný dynamický zvuk (kromě "Mein herz brennt" a "Zwitter", kde zvuk byl trochu průměrný, ne špatný, ale ne zajímavý), ale vždy poslední dvě písničky na obou stranách jsou na prd. Kvalita u nich je tlumená a zkreslená (jen "Feuer Frei!" pro běžný poslech celkem unikl). A to se nejvíce projevilo na té "skryté" písni Halleluja, která ale ve skutečnosti skrytá není, protože ji normálně vidíte na desce. A právě ta je ze všech nejvíce tlumená. Zvuk u ní je rozmazaný. Tak má cenu tuto desku koupit? Řekl bych, že spíše ne. Ano, deska vypadá pěkně a 8 písní ze 12 má skvělý zvuk, ale zbylé 4 písně mají kvalitu nic moc, a navíc je zde praskot, který není extrémní, ale je dost, a někdy rušivý. K tomu je to neoficiální deska, u které nevíte, kdo ji vyrobil a za jakých podmínek. Takže bych koupi této desky radši neriskoval, pokud sbíráte desky, které jsou použité a ve velmi pěkném stavu, nebo úplně nové.

  Well, I've got a copy of 549 639-2 (there's a bunch of versions out there with this number, so I'm not sure which one I've got, and the artwork isn't helping me figure it out), and it appears to be a misprint. It's a standard edition (I believe it's a repressing), but the disc, even though it has the code of a regular CD, has an ID3 title that says "Mutter [Double CD Tour Edition]". So, it seems to me that this CD was likely pressed at the same place as the original Tour Edition digipacks, but they must have forgotten to change the ID3 info. (I'm not entirely sure how the manufacturing process works, so this is just a guess.) I think that makes this release a misprint? But, again, I'm not entirely sure which exact release this happened in, just that the code is 549 639-2.
