Zero issues with this pressing, it sounds great, no complaints here. And I'm totally in love with the album. It's been spinning non-stop since I got it.
While many of Bronson's followers weren't too fond of this album, I personally believe it's one of his finest pieces. Sure, the lyrics on certain tracks might not be as sharp as those in Rare Chandeliers or Blue Chips, but overall, the album is a delight. Action's wit and freshness remain intact, his delivery as sharp as ever. The storytelling is engaging and easy to follow, while the instrumentals are a rich blend of blues, jazz, and rock – in my view, the album's standout feature. I'm still trying to grasp what Body Bes is always doing on Action's albums, but perhaps I'm just not getting his brilliance. The vinyl could be a tad thicker for my liking, but the sound quality is excellent: Action Bronson's voice booms out like a power drill. All things considered, it's a hidden treasure and possibly the most polished and mature work from the Flushing, NY-born Albanian chef who just happens to rap exceptionally well!
This is his absolute finest piece. A light in the addict might just be the greatest song ever made.
