Product description

Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of classical chamber music with Karl Leister's exquisite album, featuring compositions by Mozart and Reinecke. Released on September 4, 2015, under the Tudor label, this album is a testament to Leister's mastery and the enduring appeal of these classical pieces.

The album opens with Mozart's enchanting Piano Trio in E-Flat Major, K. 498, affectionately known as the "Kegelstatt" Trio. This trio is a delightful blend of warmth and sophistication, showcasing Mozart's unparalleled ability to weave intricate melodies with effortless grace. The trio's three movements—Andante, Menuetto, and Rondo—are performed with a level of precision and passion that brings out the best in Mozart's composition.

Following Mozart's trio, the album presents Reinecke's Piano Trio in A Major, Op. 264, a piece that is both lyrical and dynamic. The trio's four movements—Moderato - Allegro, Intermezzo, Legende, and Finale—are performed with a sensitivity that highlights Reinecke's unique voice in the classical repertoire.

The album concludes with Reinecke's Flute Sonata in E Minor, Op. 167, "Undine." This sonata is a captivating exploration of the flute's expressive range, with its four movements—Allegro, Intermezzo, Andante tranquillo, and Finale—offering a rich tapestry of emotions and technical brilliance.

Throughout the album, Karl Leister is joined by a stellar ensemble, including Christoph Schiller on piano, Homero Francesch on cello, and other distinguished musicians. Their collective artistry elevates these compositions to new heights, making this album a must-listen for any classical music enthusiast. With a total duration of 1 hour and 3 minutes, this album is a perfect companion for a relaxing evening or a focused listening session.
