Product description

"Moving" is a captivating journey into the world of nu jazz, crafted by the innovative Norwegian artist Bugge Wesseltoft. Released on June 18, 2001, under the Jazzland Records label, this album is a testament to Wesseltoft's unique ability to blend electronic and jazz elements seamlessly. Recorded over three days in January 2001 and mastered in February of the same year, "Moving" is a sonic exploration that spans just over an hour, featuring six tracks that are as dynamic as they are diverse.

The album opens with "Change (Chilluminati Remix)," setting the stage for an auditory adventure that includes the atmospheric "Gare du Nord," the vibrant "Yellow is the Colour," the introspective "Lone," and the title track "Moving." Each piece is a masterclass in nu jazz, showcasing Wesseltoft's piano prowess and his knack for creating immersive soundscapes. Among my top picks, this album was my gateway to nu-Jazz hailing from Norway. The musicians Biggie assembles are reminiscent of Miles' band, each member deserving of solo exploration.

Space travel ambient jazz? Believe it people....this is THE album for a late night drive through a urban cityscape at a 3rd floor level.
