  • Erskine's Funky Beats Shine

    3 out of 5 stars

Pretty good range of funky beats. Erskine's drumming is understated and inventive, as per usual, and his original tracks on this record shine brighter than the covers. This album could've been twice as enjoyable without Jim Beard's keyboards... his silly synth solos really lock this album into the 80's fusion scene.
