This black vinyl is incredibly silent. I didn't even have to give it a clean. Not a single crackle throughout the whole album. The sound quality is fantastic as well.
The sound quality on this one isn't quite up to par, especially the bass. It's neither rich and smooth nor does it offer much detail. With the highs not shining through either, it all feels a bit flat. As for the pressing, it's your typical GZ Media job. There's a fair bit of surface noise to be heard, and it's not just one copy—I bought two, and both are equally noisy. The inner sleeve is just cardboard and sticks around, so no extra points there. Overall, it's a pretty average release. Not the worst, not great. Given that the album itself is anything but average, this could've been so much better!
Once more, an amazing album! The title track B4 “Messy” is just fantastic. B2, “The hardest part” is also featured on the EP “If You Know What I Mean” – it's a great song, but I feel like it's a missed chance, she's got so many incredible tracks. All in all, a delightful album. I've got the signed card and the booklet, grabbed it online here in the Netherlands when it dropped. If you're into the genre, go ahead and get a copy, trust me, you won't be let down.
I preordered from her merch shop. My copy came with a signed sleeve. & no hype sticker on the sleeve. Later preorders might of been part of a second batch with signed art card only.
Initially, I thought - yeah, nah, it's a bit of a mess (even though I'm a huge fan of this album). Then I gave it a spin through my machine twice. Now, I gotta say - it's one of the best sounding records in my collection, it's like rediscovering this amazing album all over again.
