Product description

Marco Stroppa's "Miniature Estrose" is a captivating collection of seven intricate piano pieces, performed exquisitely by Erik Bertsch. Released on December 1, 2020, under the Kairos label, this album is a testament to Stroppa's compositional prowess and Bertsch's virtuosity. Spanning a duration of one hour and three minutes, the album is a journey through a variety of musical landscapes, each piece offering a unique exploration of sound and emotion.

The album opens with "Passacaglia canonica, in contrappunto Policromatico," a complex and rhythmic piece that sets the stage for the diverse compositions to follow. "Birichino, come un Furetto" introduces a playful and mischievous tone, showcasing the dynamic range of the piano. "Moai" and "Ninnananna" offer contrasting moods, with the former evoking a sense of ancient mystery and the latter a gentle, lullaby-like serenity.

"Tangata Manu" is a standout piece, inspired by the ancient Easter Island birdman cult, blending rhythmic vitality with haunting melodies. "Innige Cavatina" provides a moment of intimate reflection, while the album concludes with "Prologos: Anagnorisis I. Canones diversi ad Consequendum," a complex and intellectually stimulating finale.

Stroppa's compositions are known for their intricate structures and rich harmonic language, and "Miniature Estrose" is no exception. Bertsch's performance brings these pieces to life with precision and sensitivity, making this album a must-listen for fans of contemporary classical music. Whether you're a seasoned listener or new to the genre, "Miniature Estrose" offers a rewarding and engaging musical experience.
