Awesome album. It's a really chill departure from the usual. The tracks are melancholic and laid-back, typically just acoustic guitar with subtle backing. Marc’s voice is great, always a welcome touch. He's keeping things understated on this one but I really dug it. Though it's not bossa nova, it gives off a comparable vibe and atmosphere with its simple production. New Jersey bossa… perhaps who knows
I wasn't acquainted with Marc's music until I came across the song, Say My Name. It's got such a comparable feel to that tindersticks track, The Bough Bends. It's a top-notch pressing, so if you spot it, grab it.
