MGMT has done it again with another fantastic album. The tangerine vinyl pressing is really nice. I'm not quite sure why this Rough Trade exclusive was available in a public store at the Athens Mall. But for just β¬16, I'm not complaining. I suppose Rough Trade had some extra stock they wanted to move into Europe.
The audio quality is quite nice! There's a bit of surface noise between tracks, but that's to be expected. The pressing's appearance matches the mockup perfectly.
This album really shines! Truly fantastic work by these guys, an all-around brilliant listen from beginning to end!
INCREDIBLE and flawless sounding album. It's been ages since I've come across such superb audio quality. I wholeheartedly endorse Nothing Changes (my absolute favorite track on this LP)
Review for the pressing: It's nice and flat, a tad dusty out the sleeve but a light spin clean should sort it out. Can't really say how it stacks up to the digital version.. but I'm sure this sounds better. STERLING in the wax so there's some quality here.Other review.. alright folks.. i gave this album so many shots. it's not for me, and kinda let me down as i love this group. maybe next time.Not my words but this review nailed it: "Even if it's a grower, I'm let down, and I can't move past the fact that besides some really pretty moments like both title tracks, and Mother Nature (which is honestly one of their best songs), most of it sounds like half-hearted stoner music.When he sings "half of love, is still love", and he sings it like that, I feel like I'm sitting next to some strongly scented college kid with tie-dye pants and messy hair on a curb outside McDonalds
