Product description

"Live at the V&A" is a captivating musical experience brought to you by the esteemed conductor Oliver Zeffman, the renowned violinist Viktoria Mullova, and the acclaimed Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Recorded in the newly-renovated Raphael Court of the V&A Museum in London, this album is a testament to the power of music to transcend time and space.

The album features a diverse program that spans centuries, showcasing the timeless beauty of classical music. From Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major, K. 216 to Bach's Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Minor, BWV 1001, and Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1005, the album is a journey through the works of some of the most influential composers in history. It also includes pieces by Arvo Pärt and Arthur Honegger, adding a modern touch to the classical repertoire.

The album's duration of 48 minutes is filled with a rich tapestry of sounds, from the lively Allegro of Mozart's concerto to the serene Adagio of Bach's sonata, and the contemplative Fratres by Pärt. Each piece is performed with precision and passion, highlighting the exceptional talent of the musicians involved.

"Live at the V&A" is not just an album; it's a visual and auditory feast that brings together the worlds of art and music. The stunning backdrop of the Raphael Court, with its vivid imagery of Raphael's Tapestry Cartoons, perfectly complements the music, creating a unique and immersive experience. Whether you're a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album is sure to leave a lasting impression.
