Production runs are capped per country. In the US, they made 2500, while Canada got 3250 for theirs. The counts are accurate, so just double-check that you're buying from the right nation.
This album is a steal at $275, and I mean that sincerely. Pop it on, shut your eyes, and boom, you're back in '93. The spoken bits, the clinking of dishes, and, let's not forget, the pure, unfiltered, heartfelt guitar and vocals make this one of the most intense albums in my collection. It's no surprise folks shell out big bucks for this. But heads up, once you've got it, you might not want to do anything else but listen to it for about a month straight. As for the quality, my copy is as quiet as a mouse. The equipment fades away, and you're just there in the moment. The only downside? Having to snap out of the spell to flip the record.
I've got a higher count, more like 7500, not the 2500 they said.
This album is a wonderfully preserved slice of history, though there's some irritating amp feedback scattered across the songs. Initially, I assumed it was my amp or preamp buzzing, so I swapped out turntables and preamps, but the noise remained. Then I switched records, and it vanished. Has anyone else picked up on this?
Unbelievable that you can grab this a year post-release for just $50. Times sure have changed!
