Fantastic pressing, perfectly flat with awesome dynamics. This session is a winner, you can't go wrong with Johnny Griffin. Highly recommended.
I've received two copies now with skips in the drum solo towards the end of Side B. It's a decent pressing but this seems to be a manufacturing fault.
Nice pressing overall. The performance is fantastic. The jacket is laminated on both sides, and while the paper is a bit thin, it looks awesome. Plus, you get a blank side D as a freebie to help adjust your turntable's anti-skating.
Fantastic live performance revived in the luxurious manner that Gearbox excels at, if your undecided and want to experience Johnny Griffin at his best, during the early times when US musicians were permitted to enter the UK to perform, Stan Tracey and Malcolm Cecil get to shine alongside Jackie Dougan as well as the star attraction too
