Product description

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of classical music with Goran Filipec's latest album, "Liszt & Busoni: Orchestral Works." Released on January 15, 2021, under the prestigious Naxos label, this album is a testament to Filipec's virtuosity and his deep understanding of the classical genre. Spanning a duration of 1 hour and 14 minutes, the album features five meticulously crafted tracks that showcase the brilliance of Franz Liszt and Ferruccio Busoni's orchestral works.

The album opens with Liszt's "Hungarian Fantasy, S. 123," edited by Goran Filipec himself, offering a fresh perspective on this timeless piece. Filipec's interpretation is marked by his unique approach to extending and varying the cadenzas, adding a layer of depth and complexity to the composition. Following this is "Rhapsodie espagnole, BV B 58," a work inspired by Liszt's "S. 254," which transports listeners to the vibrant streets of Spain with its lively rhythms and melodic flair.

The album then delves into the somber yet profound "De profundis, S. 121a," completed by J. Rosenblatt. This piece is presented in two parts: "Andante" and "Allegro moderato," each offering a different emotional landscape. The album concludes with "Totentanz, BV B 72," another masterpiece after Liszt's "S. 126," which showcases the dramatic and expressive range of the orchestral ensemble.

Goran Filipec, accompanied by the esteemed Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Imre Kollár, brings these compositions to life with a level of artistry and precision that is truly remarkable. Whether you are a seasoned classical enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album promises an enriching and memorable listening experience.
