The supporting musicians are fantastic, they give a - at that time - contemporary vibe to each track and the live performance is bursting with energy. Gainsbourg is quite restrained (for him) but his vocals are really worn, he more talks the lyrics than actually sings them. The audience is completely engaged and in sync with Serge, which makes for a delightful night out. I'd suggest catching an earlier show though, just to witness the legendary Serge in better form.
