Product description

Immerse yourself in the profound and evocative compositions of Paul Kletzki with this captivating album, released on April 1, 2004, by the esteemed label BIS. This recording features two remarkable works: the Symphony No. 3, 'In memoriam,' and the Flute Concertino, each showcasing Kletzki's unique musical voice and emotional depth.

The Symphony No. 3, 'In memoriam,' is a stirring tribute, divided into four movements that traverse a range of emotions. From the intense and energetic opening of the Allegro agitato ed energico to the soothing Adagio molto, and the playful Allegro giocoso, the symphony culminates in a powerful Moderato assai - Allegro con fuoco. This piece is performed by the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra under the skilled direction of Thomas Sanderling, bringing Kletzki's vision to life with precision and passion.

Complementing the symphony is the Flute Concertino, a lighter yet equally engaging work. Divided into three movements, it begins with the lively Allegro con brio, followed by the expressive Molto cantabile ed espressivo, and concludes with the playful Allegretto scherzando, non troppo vivo. Flutist Sharon Bezaly delivers a virtuoso performance, showcasing her technical brilliance and musical sensitivity.

With a total duration of 63 minutes, this album offers a rich and rewarding listening experience. Whether you're a longtime admirer of Kletzki's music or a newcomer eager to explore his works, this recording is a testament to his enduring legacy and the timeless beauty of his compositions.
