About José Iturbi

Born in Valencia in 1895, Iturbi's musical prowess was evident from a young age, leading to a illustrious career that spanned over four decades. He captivated audiences worldwide, performing with some of the most prestigious orchestras, including the Philadelphia and New York Philharmonic. Beyond his musical achievements, Iturbi also made a name for himself in Hollywood, appearing in films often as himself. His dynamic career extended beyond music and film; he was also an accomplished pilot and even dabbled in boxing. Iturbi's charm and skill made him a household name, leaving an indelible mark on the world of classical music until his passing in 1980.
