Product description

Immerse yourself in the powerful and dramatic world of "Joasz - King of Judah," an opera in two acts composed by the renowned Paweł Łukaszewski. Released on July 22, 2025, under the DUX Recording Producers label, this choral masterpiece spans an impressive 1 hour and 56 minutes, offering a rich and immersive musical experience.

Łukaszewski, known for his evocative and deeply spiritual compositions, brings to life the biblical story of Joash, the king of Judah, through a blend of choral grandeur and intimate solo performances. The opera features a stellar cast, including the Orchestra and Choir of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, led by the talented Violetta Jan Łukaszewski.

The libretto, based on the work of Pietro Metastasio, is a compelling narrative that explores themes of faith, power, and redemption. The opera is divided into two acts, each filled with a variety of musical scenes that range from duets and tercets to choral pieces and arias. The tracklist is a testament to Łukaszewski's skill in crafting a cohesive and engaging musical journey, with highlights such as "Sinfonia," "Ach, Joado!" and "Z niezwykłej mocy" showcasing the depth and range of his compositional prowess.

"Joasz - King of Judah" is not just an opera; it is a profound exploration of human emotion and divine intervention. Łukaszewski's music, characterized by its rich harmonies and intricate polyphony, creates a soundscape that is both majestic and intimate. The choral sections, in particular, are a highlight, demonstrating the full power and versatility of the human voice.

For fans of choral music and opera, this album is a must-listen. It offers a unique opportunity to experience the storytelling power of music and the emotional depth of Łukaszewski's compositions. Whether you are a seasoned opera enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, "Joasz - King of Judah" promises an unforgettable musical journey.
