The vinyl had some surface hiss. A few of the lyrics are kinda mum. The tunes give off vibes like Flying Lotus – Cosmogramma.
Amazing! Gorgeous quiet playback, spacious soundstage and insane bass. Absolutely!
This record is a stunning piece of translucent rose pink vinyl, though it's a shame it's packaged in a paper sleeve. Setting that aside, the pressing is excellent, beautifully capturing the essence of Mothers Moore's musical journey. It's a rich, intricate, and refined work that seamlessly blends historical roots with cutting-edge hip hop and jazz production. There's so much depth here that it demands repeated, close listens, and the payoff is well worth it. 2022 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for meaningful independent black music, and Ma Moore is a standout contributor to that conversation.
