About Ryan Kisor

Ryan Kisor is a celebrated American jazz trumpeter, born on April 12, 1973, in Sioux City, Iowa. With a musical journey that began at the tender age of four, guided by his father Larry Kisor, Ryan quickly rose to prominence in the jazz world. By 1990, he had already made a significant mark, winning first prize at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute. Known for his mastery of hard bop and jazz genres, Ryan has collaborated with notable artists and ensembles, including the Ben Wolfe Quintet and the David Matthews Orchestra. His music, available on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
