Product description

Tate McRae's debut studio album, 'I Used to Think I Could Fly', is a captivating release that showcases the Canadian singer-songwriter's unique blend of aching acoustic melodies and atmospheric trap-infused R&B production. Released on 27 May 2022 via RCA Records, this 36-minute album takes listeners on an emotional journey, with McRae's poignant lyrics and soaring vocals weaving a narrative that is both deeply personal and relatable.

Featuring singles such as 'Feel Like Shit', 'She's All I Wanna Be', 'Chaotic', and 'What Would You Do?', 'I Used to Think I Could Fly' is an album that defies genre boundaries, incorporating elements of pop-punk to create a sound that is both fresh and exciting. With tracks like 'Don't Come Back' and 'You're So Cool', McRae demonstrates her ability to craft infectious, well-produced songs that showcase her vocal range and emotional depth.

Throughout the album, McRae's songwriting is characterised by its honesty and vulnerability, with lyrics that explore themes of relationships, self-discovery, and empowerment. With 'I Used to Think I Could Fly', Tate McRae has created an album that is both a testament to her artistic growth and a promising debut from a talented young singer-songwriter.

This is a 2023 Reissue released as a LP.

this pressing is so nice to look at, but mine's got A LOT of hissing, not sure if that's supposed to happen, and it's missing 'what's your problem' which is a bummer

Such a lovely pressing, mine has A LOT of surface noise but I'm not sure if that's normal, it also doesn't have 'What's Your Problem' so that's a bummer

iMusic has this album up for grabs, and I just got myself a copy. Bummer though, mine's got some surface noise. But hey, I'm stoked to have this album on vinyl, just wish it came with 'What's your problem'.

I got my vinyl from imusic, and it came in great shape with affordable delivery. This album is truly underappreciated and sounds fantastic on vinyl. It's not gatefold, but the printed inner sleeve with all the credits is a nice touch.
