This is a shockingly bad album. Lacks any energy or enthusiasm and feels like Elvis is just going through the motions. I know he has moved on from the classic sounds of This Years Model, My Aim Is True and Armed Forces but this, for me at least, is music to fall asleep to. One for your grandad perhaps?
You gotta give the man credit, at this stage in his career he comes up with:They're Not Laughing At Me NowNewspaper Pane andWe're All Cowards NowAbsolutely essential Costello compositions.
I have the tri-colour vinyl, but the catalogue number on the sleeve is CRE01394. Different version? Or did the put the discs in the sleeve used for another version?
