The album does have a bit of a bass-heavy mix, but it's still a really enjoyable and VERY crisp listen. It's hands-down my top Mayer album.
Fantastic album, and the SACD version really enhances the listening experience with its added depth and richness. The bass is so thick and phat, it powers the whole album. Mastering was done by the legendary Bob Ludwig.
Great, peaceful pressing. The printed sleeve features a neat re-organization of the CD liner notes. Overall, it's a sturdy package.
This reissue is "more impressive than I anticipated". It has a dynamic sound, but I'm curious if the original pressing might be even better...
This pressing is pretty good. It seems like the volume was pushed a bit high, so there might be some slight distortion. The bass is quite prominent. For the $25 I spent, it's a good deal. If you're willing to shell out $50-60 for the MOV version, go ahead.
