Happy Moods marked my initial dive into Ahmad Jamal's music. Now, it's my go-to jazz album, so when I spotted it in reel to reel format, I couldn't resist. And let me tell you, it's a gem! The soundstage, the crispness of each instrument, it's all top-notch. I reckon this reel to reel will get more playtime than the vinyl since there's zero pops or clicks, and I usually enjoy the full album. This reel to reel truly brings Happy Moods to life.
