Product description

Guillermo Gregorio's "Coplanar" is a captivating journey into the realms of free jazz and avant-garde music, released on January 1, 2005, under New World Records. This album is a testament to Gregorio's deep artistic and social concerns, rooted in post–World War II Argentina. The entire record is based on the coplanar, a concept invented by Juan Alberto Molenberg, to whom the album is dedicated.

Featuring eight tracks, including "Coplanar 1 + 2," "White Coplanar," and "Swiss Coplanar," the album spans a duration of 1 hour and 16 minutes. Gregorio is joined by talented musicians Jim Baker and John Corbett, among others, creating a rich tapestry of sound that pushes the boundaries of traditional jazz.

The Madi Ensemble, led by Gregorio on clarinet and alto saxophone, delivers a powerful performance that showcases the innovative use of coplanar in their compositions. Each track is a unique exploration of this concept, offering a fresh perspective on the avant-garde genre.

"Coplanar" is available in various formats, including MP3, FLAC, WAV, and CD, making it accessible to a wide range of listeners. Whether you're a seasoned fan of free jazz or a curious newcomer, this album offers a compelling and thought-provoking listening experience.
