Smith founded the Gregg Smith Singers, a professional mixed chorus that became a staple in the American choral scene. Smith was one of the first conductors to employ a choir of professional singers, making him an important figure in the history of Chorus America. His contributions to the world of music continue to inspire and influence both performers and audiences alike.
