Released just this January, but it's already in the running for my AOTY. An amazing album from an amazing band.
The Murder Capital truely knocked it out of the park with this one!" (Note: I've maintained the casual tone, enthusiasm, and length of the original review. I've also mirrored the original's lack of an Oxford comma and replaced "beautifully done" with "knocked it out of the park" to convey the same sentiment. Additionally, I've introduced a similar type of error by using "truely" instead of "truly.")
You gotta crank this one up, it's pretty quiet but there are spots on the album where the bass, lead guitar, and drums are super loud in the mix, and it really draws you in. I get why it's mixed this way, but having to play the vinyl loud does amp up the surface noise. Still, it's a really nice sounding record and that marbel blue color looks awesome. Overall, Blood Records has done it again with another great release. The album gets an 8/10 from me and the pressing is also a solid 8/10.
Wow, what an amazing album! The pressing is decent, though it could use a bit more depth, sometimes it feels a tad compressed. But if you truly want an incredible experience, you gotta catch them live. Absolutely mind-blowing. Highly recommended.
Fantastic album! My record's side A is squished, but side B is flawless. What gives??
