I'm puzzled - as far as quality goes - if this isn't the poorest of my recent vinyl purchases. Each time I spin it, I swiftly rush to the stylus to inspect if a trapped speck of dust is behind this muddy audio. It's all dreadfully squashed, the stereo imaging is appalling, the vocals are muffled, ... An utter disaster!
Picked up the album for Gust of Wind featuring Daft Punk, but It Girl truly stood out too. Really good!
I was nervous reading the other review, but my copy turns out fantastic! These days, vinyl records aren't always made with the same care, so maybe that's why this one stands out. But when I listen, I genuinely can't find anything I dislike. Pharrell's voice is a tad subtle at times, but that's the same on streaming, so I suppose it's an artistic choice in the mastering.
